United Terran Planets
The birthplace of the Terrans. The first survivors of the interstellar transit accident crashed into the new sol system, location of the United Station of planets. They decided to call themselves Terrans due to the complete disconnect from their old world. Humans lives through Sol, they were from New Sol.
Terran growth has been very harsh. New Sol is no longer habitable since the New Sol System War. the “Belters” as they were called, workers on the outer resource rich asteroid belt of the system, revolted for non representation and exploitation by the inner planets. Conflicts escalated and a fanatical leader used a weapon they did not quite understand and ended up scorching New Sol out of habitability. 80% of the Terran population was lost as the planet was consumed. the war stopped mid battle to save what they could.
The tragedy resulted in the exile of the offenders. This exile was to preserve Terrans in the sector by sending them away and hoping they learned from their mistakes. Those offenders hundreds of years later became the New Terran Domain.
Terrans were now an endangered species and they needed to survive. The next few hundred years was characterized by warlords and outposts clinging to life. interstellar travel resumed and they Terrans spread out slowly once more settling new major planets and thriving. once populations and resources stabilized a unifying government was to be formed. a few iterations later, the United Terran Planets were created.
Representation is based on population of each sector & system. planets and stations are part of systems which are part of sectors which are part of regions which all get representation in the United House. Everything is relayed up and down through the system. All members have voices, defense, and support.
