The small craft of the Royal Ship Lines are usually bigger than others or reliant on a parent ship. they need to have the exceptional range and be able to last until help can arrive.
Cheetah
The Cheetah series fighter is a long range interceptor. The Royal Navy doesn’t have a light fighter, but this would be the closest in the lineup. Longer range and more survivability moves this ship up weight classes.
Lion
The Lion Heavy Fighter is a long range heavy fighter. It’s weapon compliment is not as heavy as other heavy fighters, but it’s defenses allow it to trade fire and buy time for reinforcements.
